St Albans Property
St Albans is popular for a vast number of reasons, with more and more clients seeking properties either in St Albans or nearby.
The travel connections in St Albans are exceptional, trains take under 20 minutes to reach London St Pancras and around 15 minutes to West Hampstead. The Thameslink trains make journeys to Luton Airport and Gatwick Airport, and even Brighton, short and easy. By car, St Albans is located near both the M1 and M25.
St Albans is particularly popular with families, not only is the city surrounded by beautiful countryside and very well connected, the schools in the area are excellent. There is a selection of top-rated state schools and several independent options including St Alban’s School and St Alban’s High School for Girls.

Living in Bishop’s Stortford
Bishop’s Stortford is a historic market town which offers a relatively short commute into London – the train takes under 40 minutes to reach Liverpool Street. The town centre offers a good mix of shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants and there is a regular market too.
There are also good schooling options, including independent school Bishop’s Stortford College, and other leisure attractions such as the local golf club; Bishops Stortford is a well-connected hive of activity.
Properties in Bishop’s Stortford range from period cottages and Edwardian terrace houses to newly built properties set in larger developments, on the outskirts of town you can find larger country houses.
There are several nearby villages that benefit from their proximity to Bishop’s Stortford, with residents making use of the fast trains into Liverpool Street such as Much Hadham, five miles south-west of Bishop’s Stortford.
The village of Much Hadham has a thriving local community and a top-rated nursery and primary school drawing families to the area. This pretty village offers a mix of thatched cottages and larger Georgian manors amongst other property styles. There is a tennis club and a football club and residents organise fêtes and fairs throughout the year, there are also good local pubs and a shop for your day-to-day needs.

Luxury homes in Hertfordshire
The area of Elstree, Borehamwood, Barnet, Radlett and neighbouring villages has long been a popular spot to live.

The local train stations offer fast journeys into London and The City as well as Gatwick Airport and Brighton using the Thameslink.
There is a great selection of schools, both state and private, including Haberdasher Aske’s, Radlett Prep School, Edge Grove, Aldenham, Yavneh and Hertsmere.
Hertfordshire Property Search
There are many desirable places to live in Hertfordshire, some are less well-known than others.
Welwyn Garden City is fast becoming an extremely popular commuter hotspot, the town offers a fast train service into London’s King Cross which takes around half an hour.
The town was founded by Sir Ebenezer Howard in 1920 and was designed to offer a perfect mix of city life surrounded by the protected green belt so residents could benefit from the combination.
As such, the town has tree-lined avenues, wide grass verges on the roadsides and is overall much greener than most towns. Houses here often benefit from well-proportioned gardens and offer a sense of space.
The Ayots are located only a few miles from Welwyn Garden City. A cluster of hamlets, Ayot St Peter, Ayot St Lawrence, and Ayot Green, The Ayots are popular places to live. Many residents commute from nearby Welwyn to London Kings Cross, which takes under half an hour. These pretty hamlets are filled with period homes and cottages full of character.
Welwyn, sometimes referred to as Welwyn Village or Old Welwyn so as not to be confused with Welwyn Garden City, is a pretty riverside village. In its centre are a selection of shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants.
Property in Welwyn is a broad mixture of period property in and around the centre, more modern 90’s properties in cul-de-sacs on the fringes, and also more recent additions of new build developments. In the surrounding area, you can find secluded, large properties set within their own land including period farmhouses, Edwardian manor houses, and newly built homes.
Included in the Welwyn Parish are the villages of Digswell and Oaklands. Digswell is the location of the Welwyn North train station, which offers the fast train into London Kings Cross.
The market town of Hitchin in North Hertfordshire is also a popular place to live. The town centre has a range of shops and the mainline railway station offers services to London Kings Cross taking approximately 30 minutes.
Not far from Hitchin, Letchworth Garden City designed by Ebenezer Howard, the originator of the Garden City movement boasts similar greenery to Welwyn, in fact, Letchworth was the original Garden City.
