Around the Camel Estuary in North Cornwall, a collection of villages has grown increasingly popular over the years, the exclusive property market here can be competitive and many properties are bought and sold off-market. The most desirable properties boast far-reaching views in tucked-away locations but still with easy access to the local amenities. 

The northern coast presents some of the best surfing beaches in the UK. Polzeath is a well-known and popular surfing beach located just within the entrance to the Camel Estuary.

The Camel Estuary, which runs between Rock and Padstow is used for sailing and water sports, nearby Rock Sailing Club and Rock Ski School are excellent hubs for these activities.

For those who prefer land-based activities, there are many scenic coastal walking routes and the links golf course of St. Enodoc allows you to enjoy the sport with stunning views over the Camel Estuary and out to the Atlantic.  

Nearby, Wadebridge offers more extensive supermarket options, facilities, and shops on its high street.  The ferry and water taxi between Rock and Padstow connects the two sides of the estuary meaning residents and visitors can easily enjoy the attractions of both.

Locally, there is a wealth of excellent restaurants and pubs including; The Mariners Pub in Rock, Restaurant Nathan Outlaw in Port Isaac, Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant, and Paul Ainsworth’s No. 6 in Padstow.

By rail, nearby Bodmin Parkway, offers regular trains to London Paddington, Penzance, and Plymouth and Newquay airport is also only a short drive away for flights to London and European destinations.

On Cornwall’s southern coast is a popular stretch featuring several small towns and villages including Fowey and Looe. This popular area is known for its sailing and water sports activities.

The seaside town of Looe attracts visitors all year round whilst also retaining a working fishing port. If needed, Looe has available moorings in its Harbour, here you will also find opportunities for both sea and freshwater fishing on organised trips.
