Moor to Sea in Devon & Cornwall

Yes there is more to see in Devon and Cornwall than meets the eye. The area has diverse environs from desolate moorland to vibrant sandy beaches.

On Exmoor for example you can traverse some 33 miles of bridleway connecting Exmoor to the Quantocks.

Bodmin has an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty designation with a strong mining heritage. The land has changed in part remained from the Neolithic era and abounds in myths and legends. It has been the inspiration of poets, artists and writers down the years.

The sea is obviously a principal attraction to the counties with Cornwall having the longest coastline in England. Key sailing areas are on the South Coast Salcombe, Dartmouth and Falmouth, with the North Coast appealing more to surfers.  Away from Newquay the beaches of Widemouth Bay and Bude are up and coming in the sport. Up the coast in North Devon is Croyde which has become somewhat of a hot spot with a high demand for second homes.
