Yorkshire Property Expert

Our Yorkshire team is led by local resident Julian Rich. Julian has an impressive track record of finding property for private clients in the area over his many years working in property.

One of our most senior search consultants, clients working with Julian greatly benefit from his knowledge and a large network of local contacts.

Yorkshire is a large county with many appealing places to live and it is often the case that the most desirable properties in prime areas don’t reach the open market. Having built a strong network of contacts during his time conducting private client searches, Julian regularly has access to properties before they’re advertised and those that are entirely off-market.

It is little surprise that most clients come to us via personal recommendation and that Julian is well known on the prime Yorkshire property scene.

He has assisted clients in buying all types of property from townhouses in Harrogate and farms on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales to retreats on the Yorkshire Coast and renovation projects suitable for developers.

Moving to York

Founded by the Romans, the walled city of York is steeped in history, the gothic cathedral York Minster dominates the skyline, the centre is filled with winding medieval streets and the River Ouse runs straight through. York also has an abundance of parks and open green spaces.

York is popular with our private clients searching for property in the region, with a reasonable train time into London many who regularly visit the capital choose to live here and make the occasional commute. The fast train from York to London King’s Cross takes one hour and 50 minutes.

There are many excellent schools in the area including independent schools York Minster, The Mount, St Peter’s and Bootham.

Clifton is a particularly popular area to live in York, the properties here are primarily Georgian and Victorian townhouses, St Peter’s and Bootham school are within walking distance and the city centre and York train station are close by.

There are several villages near York, for those seeking a more rural setting, such as Acaster Malbis to the South of York. The village is famed for its many river fronted homes.

The village of Bishopthorpe, three miles south of York city centre, is a favoured place to live; prime properties here rarely become available on the open market.
